Track Practice: Form & Fundamentals

Community School Track

Join Leapfrog Mondays  6a.m.-7a.m. at Community School of Naples for our Form & Fundamentals Run Workout.  All levels welcome at Track Practice as we work on the RUN FUNDAMENTALS:

*Breathing

*Pace Change

*Posture

*Stride

*Arm Position

*Recovery

Coach Matt will both teach you and help you to develop STRONG FUNDAMENTALS to make you a Faster, More Efficient Runner!

 

These workouts are shorter in length and each practice typically covers about 3 miles.  These track practices are broken down into smaller “Units You Can Handle” ensuring that All Levels Experience Success!

 

We practice functional body weight strength training to teach muscle patterns specifically related to running.  You’ll be encouraged to not only gain Run Fitness, but also general strength.  At Leapfrog our goal is better overall fitness with a specialty in running:)

Racing IS PASSING Series

Friday’s in April Join Leapfrog for our “Racing IS PASSING” Series.

 

This month we focus on Pace Change & Active Recovery to help you become a Stronger Runner and Racer!  ALL LEVELS WELCOME.

 

You’ll learn techniques to:

  • Accelerate
  • Pass Runners
  • Recover while maintaining pace
  • Gain Speed and Efficiency
  • Keep your Mind Focused

This Series meets Friday Mornings 6a.m. @Venetian Village in the north side parking lot.  (Venetian Village is located off Park Shore Dr. in Naples, FL)

Each workout lasts approx. 1 hour and covers between 3-6 miles depending on your level/pace.

Track Practice: Traditional Speedwork.

Run Track

Join Leapfrog Wednesdays  6a.m.-7a.m. at Community School of Naples for our Traditional Speedwork Run Workout.  All levels welcome at this Track Practice as we run the basics:

*400’s

*800’s

*Mile Repeats

*Ladders

*Surge Workouts

 

Running Shoe

Coach Matt will both Lead A Workout & have Open Lanes for you to use to make you a Faster, More Efficient Runner!

 

These workouts will have a warm up session, time for stretching and a cool down/post workout stretch.   All Levels Welcome, Come and Experience Success!

 

We practice both Active & Passive Recovery.  You will have to option to participate in Coach Matt’s workout OR do your own speedwork (lanes 4-8.)  At Leapfrog our goal is better overall fitness with a specialty in running:)
