There was some great competition at The Track today for Leapfrog Traditional Speed Work! It’s always better with a group:)
Today’s workout was 12 by 200 Meter Repeat w/200 Meter “Floating” Recovery between. Although the speed part of the workout is tough…it’s actually the Floating Recovery that we really paid attention to today. Maintaining Strong Posture, Controlling Your Breath, Keeping Your Mind Focused… The details during the Active Recovery was my main focus for the runners today. It was a Strong Performance by all!!

Amelia and I get through the Monday of week 5 quarantine with some new leg & glute exercises to keep us challenged and engaged!
- BEGIN: with simple Calf Raises (5 each leg)
- THEN: move to some straight leg leg lifts.
- NEXT: get on all fours for another variation of straight leg lift.
- FINALLY: we put it all together with a compound movement to really engage the leg muscles.
All exercises are 5 reps each leg and all should be completed slowly & smoothly with control. Enjoy!!
