Track Practice: Form & Fundamentals

Community School Track

Join Leapfrog Mondays  6a.m.-7a.m. at Community School of Naples for our Form & Fundamentals Run Workout.  All levels welcome at Track Practice as we work on the RUN FUNDAMENTALS:

*Breathing

*Pace Change

*Posture

*Stride

*Arm Position

*Recovery

Coach Matt will both teach you and help you to develop STRONG FUNDAMENTALS to make you a Faster, More Efficient Runner!

 

These workouts are shorter in length and each practice typically covers about 3 miles.  These track practices are broken down into smaller “Units You Can Handle” ensuring that All Levels Experience Success!

 

We practice functional body weight strength training to teach muscle patterns specifically related to running.  You’ll be encouraged to not only gain Run Fitness, but also general strength.  At Leapfrog our goal is better overall fitness with a specialty in running:)

Ah Yes!  Consistency…

Here we are…almost to the end of January already!  Crazy how fast the time goes by…from the holidays in Nov/Dec thru the start of the New Year…and now almost to February!  How’s your 2020 running and fitness consistency???

We all have heard about how most resolutions fail to be kept past a few weeks into the new year.  It’s always easier to just say we will do something that we know we really need to do…it’s much harder to actually commit to doing said resolution.  At Leapfrog we are here to provide the opportunity for consistency in your running, fitness & health goals.  

As January ends it’s a perfect time to re-commit to Leapfrog and join us at 1 or all 3 of our weekly workouts!  You’ll not only get great coaching and strong workouts, but you’ll also get to be social with and inspired by the other runners who have made commitments to themselves & their fitness. 

Leapfrog February begins our 4 week Hill Series to help us Overcome Obstacles and Keep Control when life/running gets difficult.  We look forward to working with each and every one of you 3 times weekly to help make you both a strong & wise runner.  The culmination of our Hill Series is our yearly DESTINATION RACE sign up for The Leadville Marathon & Heavy 1/2.  It’s taking hill running to the mountains and giving everyone the opportunity to truly test your limits.  I hope you will consider joining us for the challenge that is our Hill Series and then continue with Leapfrog out west to Leadville, CO to take on the Mountains!!

Ah Yes!  Consistency…

Here we are…almost to the end of January already!  Crazy how fast the time goes by…from the holidays in Nov/Dec thru the start of the New Year…and now almost to February!  How’s your 2020 running and fitness consistency???

We all have heard about how most resolutions fail to be kept past a few weeks into the new year.  It’s always easier to just say we will do something that we know we really need to do…it’s much harder to actually commit to doing said resolution.  At Leapfrog we are here to provide the opportunity for consistency in your running, fitness & health goals.

Track Practice: Traditional Speedwork.

Join Leapfrog Wednesdays  6a.m.-7a.m. at Community School of Naples for our Traditional Speedwork Run Workout.  All levels welcome at this Track Practice as we run the basics:

*200’s

*400’s

*800’s

*Mile Repeats

*Ladders

*Surge Workouts

 

Running Shoe

Coach Matt will both Lead A Workout & have Open Lanes for you to use to make you a Faster, More Efficient Runner!

 

These workouts will have a warm up session, time for stretching and a cool down/post workout stretch.   All Levels Welcome, Come and Experience Success!

 

We practice both Active & Passive Recovery.  You will have to option to participate in Coach Matt’s workout OR do your own speedwork (lanes 4-8.)  At Leapfrog our goal is better overall fitness with a specialty in running:)

1/2 Marathon Training. PREPARE YOURSELF. Learn. Practice. Workout.

Join Us as we run each mile of the Naples News 1/2 Marathon course with PURPOSE.

PREPARE YOURSELF for the 13.1 mile race with Intervals, Active Recovery, Passing Drills, Speed Work, and Pace Workouts. You’ll learn how to Run On Fatigued Legs, how to Mentally Plan, how to Take Inventory and Prevent Distress.
