Triathlon Clinic: Week 2: Open Water Swimming

Open Water Swimming.

Join Leapfrog for week 2 of our 8 week Triathlon Clinic for Sprint & Olympic Distance Triathlon.

Prepare Yourself

Location:
Horizon Beach-Located on Gulf Shore Blvd. North, between Harbor Drive and Park Shore Drive. Beach Access is directly across from the waterfall feature on N. Gulf Shore Drive.

2nd Clinic: Saturday, April 6th  8-9:30a.m.

Open Water Swimming

Learn…Practice…Workout

We Practice:

  • Stroke/Breath Work.
  • Sighting.
  • Entering & Exiting the Water.
  • Swimming in a Group.
  • Sighting.
  • Dolphin Diving.
  • Swimming the Distance.

Get confidence right from the start with open water swimming! Gain experience and knowledge as well as learning first hand YOUR questions and concerns.

 

You’ll Need:

  • Swim Attire
  • Goggles
  • Optional Swim Cap

Coach Matt will have 2 course options to choose from for beginners and more advanced triathletes.

Leapfrog Saturdays: Open Water Swim, Next Saturday: Bike!

It was a beautiful morning in the water!! Good practice sighting & swimming in a group🙂 Gaining knowledge and comfort in the Open Water. Part of triathlon swimming is being able to and being comfortable with Swimming In A Group. At Leapfrog we coach drills and design workouts to help athletes of all levels develop skills, practice abilities and gain comfort in the Open Water.

Open Water Swimming

Come LEARN, PRACTICE & WORKOUT w/Leapfrog Open Water Swim Practice.

 

7:30-9am. From Horizon Beach in Naples, FL.

 

Here we Learn & Practice Swim Fundamentals like:

BREATHING

BODY POSITION

STROKE

KICK

SIGHTING

SWIMMING IN A GROUP

ENTERING/EXITING THE WATER

PACE CHANGE

 

This practice is open to ALL LEVELS.  At Leapfrog we LEARN, PRACTICE & WORKOUT.  Beginners welcome as we work on Skill Development.  Intermediates welcome as we Practice Drills in the Open Water. Advanced welcome as we Workout focusing on Quality and Race Applications.
